About Elizabeth

Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s motto was taken from the song All You Need Is Love by the Beatles. Being of service to others was always the driving force behind all of her endeavors.

Early in her career, Elizabeth became a nurse specializing in surgery and working alongside a prominent plastic surgeon in New York City. For over twenty years, she managed his practice and took care of the patients. This invaluable experience provided Elizabeth with a wonderful arena in which to incorporate her growing interest in holistic medicine and natural healing. The doctor allowed Elizabeth to bring healing modalities into the practice and to use homeopathic medicine with the patients, which was unheard of at the time. This position of integrating medical science with holistic medicine served as the secure foundation of Elizabeth’s life for many years.

A Remarkable Woman

June Graham SpencerIn 1976, Elizabeth met June Graham Spencer, who was the seminar leader for The Silva Method, a course Elizabeth was taking. June, one of the top three instructors in the world, became Elizabeth’s mentor and guided her into the-then cutting edge world of meditation, visualization and power of positive thinking. Around this time, June and her husband, Jim, formed a non-profit teaching organization called the Let Go & Live Institute. Letting go of emotional blocks became the mainstay of their curriculum.

June’s quest for insight and discovery led them to the Communion of Souls Seminary, where they were ordained as interfaith ministers after four years of study. Elizabeth became immersed in this purposeful world. She took the teacher training, learned the Let Go & Live philosophy and practices and became a facilitator-counselor. She worked at all levels of the organization from hanging coats to leading support groups. Elizabeth is also the former President of the Board of Directors of the Let Go & Live Institute, a position she held for 7 1/2 years.

“Do not search for love … just let go of everything that is in the way. ~ June Graham Spencer”

Astrology and Healing

Elizabeth uses many tools in her practice, with astrology being her personal favorite. She has studied with outstanding professional astrologers, Joan Kilgen, Brenda Brush, Barbara Hamilton, Dr. Michael Lennox and the President of the Astrology Institute, Samuel F. Reynolds. In 2012, Elizabeth was awarded the designation of Certified Practicing Astrologer from The Astrology Career Institute.

She shares the same perspective with all her teachers and colleagues that the birth chart is an insightful map of the personality and illustrates the potential, as well as the challenges, of one’s life journey.

During her own personal journey towards wellness, Elizabeth became committed to self care and helping others find balance between body, mind and spirit. As a licensed nurse she already understood allopathic medicine and was eventually introduced to holistic and integrative medicine. As a result of her own healing experience she firmly trusts the process of healing by applying principles of holistic and integrative medicine along with allopathic principles if needed. Her association with Bemer USA is an important measure that Elizabeth has incorporated into her daily, self care healing practice.
