Letter from a Father
Dear Elizabeth,
Last year, on October 17, you married my daughter Cara Lynn, to Andrew. It was way out in Long Island, outdoors in a gazebo, overlooking a channel of water.
We all have hopes for our children, and our friends, that their marriages will not only endure, but be nurturing.
When I “handed” off Cara Lynn to you, I did not know what I wanted, but God gave it to me, through you. As you spoke to my daughter and Andrew, not only did your voice have love and power, but your arm encircled Cara Lynn’s back with a loving touch. As I saw the representation of all that is good in this universe embrace my daughter physically, I got all warm and fuzzy, and the tears began to flow.
You gave to my daughter and Andrew, in a symbolic and physical way, all that I hoped for.
I hope your ministry touches you, as much as it did me.
Love, The Father Joe R.
Letters from Couples
Dear Elizabeth,This note is a long time in coming but no less heartfelt for the wait. It’s been three months since you presided over our wedding and the memories are still warm, vivid and immensely satisfying. To be sure, it was a beautiful party and a wonderfully nourishing weekend surrounded by our families and loved ones, but nowhere was it more spectacular and inspiring than in your ceremony. I sometimes wake up with memories of various segments playing in my head, especially the part where all our guests held hands and pledged their strength of love and experience to us. My heart skips just to recall it.
But more than your words, perfect as they were, you opening your heart to us in the months prior, your patience in shaping the ceremony with us, your warm thoughts and encouragement in the tense days beforehand and, finally, your being there with us both in the afternoon hours was so much more than we could have hoped for – and had any right to expect. Between helping Maria with her dress, to talking Chris through the ring bearing procedure (I can still see him, with your encouragement, putting his own special wishes into them), to guiding me through my Spanish vows – it was all like magic.
People speak of weddings as being like a fairy tale, or a perfect dream, and I always thought that was wishful thinking. Afterall, this is the real world. We are adults. We cannot suspend our disbelief so easily. And yet our wedding was both a fairy tale and a dream come true. I believe that. I know it, because I lived through it.
I hope that somewhere there exists a record, for all the love and good will you so generously bestow on each of the couples blessed enough to be married by you. I hope this letter and these most sincere sentiments can be a part of that record; a receipt for all that you have given us and a repository of the love and appreciation we feel for you.
We wish you the warmest holiday greetings and hope this finds you surrounded by those who love you. Remember that we are there as well.
Love, Rob & Marta
We regret having taken so long to thank you for an absolutely wonderful and memorable wedding day. You were calming, gracious and talented and it shined through like a light from above.
We cannot thank you enough! We are happy and looking forward to a beautiful life today, tomorrow and forever.
Thank you for agreeing to be a part of our union and for doing it so well.
Qwendolyn & Charles
Hello Elizabeth,
How are you and family? We are doing great. We recently got back from our honeymoon and are getting ready to go back to work. Our marriage certificate is already mounted in a frame, our picture proofs viewed and our video being edited.
Elizabeth, the ceremony was so beautiful. My family, Mark’s family, everyone loved you. Thank you for being part of it all. I think back to when we first met with you, Caffe and Paul the photographer and we would not change a thing. We’ll e-mail pictures soon.
Much blessings, Elizabeth and Mark

We just got back from our honeymoon and was thinking about you the whole time. Ba and I would like to thank you again for the wonderful ceremony you performed. It was touching and moving not only to us but also our guests. Thank you for making everyone feel so involved.
I guess Ba doesn’t hate Potato as much as he says, he was really emotional to my surprise. I nearly lost it too when i saw him. As you can tell, we both have lots of friends our age who might be tying the knot soon and I will definitely refer you to any of them.
I hope you’re doing well and i’ll never forget those meaningful words of yours, nothing is more important than your love!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Heidi & Ba

Sorry I haven’t gotten in touch with you sooner, but Jose and I wanted to say thank you so much for the beautiful and very moving wedding ceremony you performed for us on October 1st at Caffe on the Green.
It was pouring rain that morning, but the skies cleared up in time for us to get married outside surrounded by beautiful gardens and the love of our family and friends. We’re so glad you were a part of it!
With love and peace, Maria & Jose
